Privacy Policy for mpixe

This policy explains how mpixe collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website/app/interfaces (“the Service”).

In short: This page tells you what we collect, why, with whom we share it, and what your rights are.

  • Account data: name, email, country/language, date of birth (for age verification).
  • Content & interactions: your posts, saves, comments, messages within the Service.
  • Technical data: IP address, device/OS type, log data, cookie identifiers.
  • Approximate location (from IP). Precise location is optional via your device settings.
  • Partner data (for ads/measurement) as permitted by law.

In short: We collect the minimum needed to run the Service, personalize your experience, and improve security.

  • Operate the Service and personalize content/recommendations.
  • Security and prevention of abuse, impersonation, and unlawful defamation.

We process data based on: Legitimate Interests (operate and protect the Service), Contract Performance (provide the Service), Legal Obligation, and Consent when required (e.g., precise location/non-essential cookies). You can withdraw consent in Settings.

In short: We rely on consent only when required—and you can withdraw it.


5) Cookies

6) Who We Share Data With

  • Within the mpixe group or in a lawful merger/acquisition.

7) International Transfers

We may transfer data outside your country with appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses and comparable mechanisms) where required by law.

8) Security & Retention

We apply reasonable technical/organizational controls. We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.

In short: Reasonable protection and keep data only as long as necessary.


9) Your Rights

  • Access/portability, rectification, deletion, restriction/objection (where allowed by law).
  • Turn off personalized ads and opt out of non-essential tracking.
  • We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required.

10) Children’s Data

The Service is for users 13+. If your country requires a higher age of consent, we follow that. We will close an underage account upon verified report.

In short: No accounts below the legal age.


11) Ads & Reputation-Sensitive Content

mpixe is not the publisher of user content and is not legally responsible for it; you are responsible for everything you post. We provide reporting/enforcement tools against trademark misuse, impersonation, unlawful defamation, and misleading ads, and may remove/restrict content or suspend accounts when needed. Protection does not extend to lawful opinions or non-defamatory criticism.

In short: Your content is your responsibility; we offer tools to address violations.


12) Indemnification

You are fully responsible for claims arising from your content (especially advertising/public content) and agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless mpixe from any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees). You will handle the defense at your expense, and you may not settle anything affecting mpixe’s rights without prior written consent. Please also see the Terms of Service.

In short: If a dispute arises from what you posted, you bear the consequences and release mpixe.


13) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will post the latest version and it becomes effective upon posting. For material changes, we will provide clear notice.

Regional Annexes (Short)

(A) U.S. State Privacy Notice — applies only to residents of states with active privacy laws

Categories/sources/purposes/sharing: as described above (account/device/usage/inferences; from user/device/partners; for service/safety/ads/measurement; limited sharing with providers/ad partners/authorities).

Your rights: access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out of “sale”/“sharing”/“targeted advertising”, and limit use of sensitive information where applicable. No discrimination for exercising rights.

Do Not Sell/Share: You can request “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” and opt out of targeted ads via Settings or [email protected].

GPC: We honor it where required.

Authorized agents/appeals: You may use an authorized agent and submit an appeal if a request is denied under your state law.

In short: Extra rights for certain U.S. state residents + opt-outs for sale/sharing.
